The Hut is finally here! Located in the Stemilit Basin high above Wenatchee WA and to the East of the Mission Ridge ski area, The Hut is a hoop wall tent heated by a wood stove that sleeps up to three people.
In 2021, after significant work with DNR and other user groups, El Sendero was granted a land-use lease to erect and manage a temporary structure, the Hut! While permission came too late to finish the hut for public use in 2021/22, El Sendero is excited to be offering Hut Reservation for the 2022/23 season! Much of the skiing terrain accessed from the hut is avalanche terrain. A conservative approach to terrain selection is required. The hut is located within NWAC’s East Slope Central zone. However, the snowpack can vary significantly across this zone, and the hazard in the Stemilt basin can be higher than forecasted. Please be conservative, and stay off avalanche terrain when appropriate.
ACCESSING THE HUT
The Hut is located in the Stemilt Basin to the East of the Mission Ridge Ski Resort. The hut can be accessed from the Mission Ridge parking lot (Clara Lake end) by ascending up east of Bowl 4, or by snowmobile from the Lilly Lake Snowpark on Stemilt Hill. If you park at Lilly Lake you will need a snowpark pass.
